Women of Reform Judaism of Temple Anshe Hesed, formerly Temple Sisterhood, is an affiliate of URJ's Women of Reform Judaism. WRJ provides financial support for many Temple functions and activities, including Youth Camp scholarships and the Gesher program. We provide baby-sitting during High Holiday services and refreshments for the annual Taschlich celebration in Frontier Park.
We maintain and furnish the Breakstone Room Nursery/Classroom for young children, as well as the Judaica Gift Shop. WRJ is responsible for maintaining and has recently refurnished the Temple kitchen.
Our goal is help out wherever ‘womanpower’ is needed within the Temple family.
A special Women’s Minyan has been conducted for many years and we have held a Women’s Seder since 2005. A Women’s Torah discussion/study group meets monthly from September through the end of May and we host an annual Rabbi's Book Review.
In recognition of B’nai Mitzvah and Confirmants, WRJ presents a gift to each celebrant on his or her special day.
